HOUSE BOAT COCHIN

Logo
What once used to be busy canals, with farmers ferrying produce to and from the markets is now swamped with tourist rides and houseboats. Kochis backwaters stretch for kilometres, dotted with lakes, lagoons, brackish bogs, estuaries and mangroves. The rides are operated between 10am and 5pm, on a kettuvallom. It is a traditional rice boat, held together by ropes and coir knots. Paddy fields and enchanting canals greet you as you allow yourself to be steeped in countryside life. The boat is under 100ft in length and 18ft at its widest, in the middle. There is space for resting, and a bathroom on the houseboat.

PAINT BALL

Logo
Devised as a battle training exercise, paintball is now very popular with the young and the old. The game is a simulation of a battlefield, with erected obstacles and paths, players in full gear and of course, the paintball gun itself! Paint pellets are used to shoot at opponents. We organise paintball competitions in suitable locations, with apt number and profile of players, and training objectives. Depending on the setting, the objectives and strategies differ. There will be bunkers from which non-participants can view the ongoing game.

KUMARAKOM HOUSEBOAT

Logo
The perfect background for boating, with the 14-acre Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary at close quarters. Local and migratory birds make it their home here, during different parts of the year. Take a look into how native fishermen and women catch fish, prawns, crab and other seafood, using indigenous techniques. On the boat, enjoy the slow pace of life here. As Kumarakom is located on the threshold of kingdoms in Kottayam, erstwhile kings built a fort here only a portion of it still stands , manned by soldiers, ready for attack. A range of boats were used by them. While youre here, visit the 1,000-year-old Thazhathangady Juma Masjid.
